Hermes Agent for real estate works as a back-office assistant for agents and small brokerages: it drafts lead follow-ups, writes first-pass listing descriptions from your notes and photos, books showings through a calendar, gathers market research with source links, and sends a daily lead digest. Hermes Agent is Nous Research's open-source agent, and it runs on your own machine or server.

What Hermes Agent for real estate can and can't connect to
The v0.23.0 catalogs (the Nous-approved MCP catalog and the community plugin catalog, which Nous says grew from about 600 to over 1,050 entries) include these entries that fit a real estate office:
- Calendly (Nous-approved MCP): scheduling links, events and invitees.
- Close (Nous-approved MCP): a sales CRM with leads, opportunities, calls and emails. Its tools that place real outbound AI phone calls are excluded by default.
- Attio and Airtable (Nous-approved MCPs): CRM records and simple tracking tables.
- Gmail (community plugin for Desktop) with a preview-confirm step before send, plus the bundled google-workspace skill for Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Docs and Sheets.
- Twenty CRM (community plugin).
The one real-estate-specific entry is jp-reinfolib, a community plugin that pulls quarterly transaction prices for one Japanese city from Japan's MLIT data.
There is no catalog entry at v0.23.0 for any MLS, Zillow, Realtor.com, Follow Up Boss, kvCORE, Lofty, dotloop, SkySlope or DocuSign. For those, Hermes can use its browser tool (browser_exec) on sites you are signed in to and allowed to automate, or work from CSV exports you hand it. Check each service's terms before you point an agent at it.

Hermes Agent for real estate workflows you can copy
1. New-lead follow-up drafts
Hermes webhooks can receive an event, turn the payload into a prompt, and deliver the result to Telegram, a log or another platform. A route with a cron job attached fires that job when the event arrives. Point your website form at it.
Prompt: "When a new lead arrives, look the person up in Close. Write a short reply that answers their question about the property they asked about, offers two showing times from my calendar, and asks if they are already working with an agent. Save it as a draft. Do not send. Post a one-line summary to my Telegram."
Output: one draft per lead and a Telegram note. You edit and send.
2. Listing description drafts from notes and photos
Attach the photo files and your walk-through notes. The vision_analyze tool reads images, so the draft can mention what the photos show.
Prompt: "Using these notes and photos, write a listing description of about 180 words, a 40-word social caption, and a bullet list of features. Describe the property only. Do not describe the neighborhood's residents, who the home is ideal for, or schools as a selling point for a type of family. Flag any claim in my notes you can't see in the photos."
Output: three drafts and a list of unconfirmed claims. Save it as a skill.
3. Showing scheduling
Connect the Calendly MCP, or use Google Calendar through the google-workspace skill. Hermes docs say an MCP server set to trust untrusted asks for approval on every write-capable call, while read-only tools run without a prompt.
Prompt: "When a buyer replies with a preferred time, check my calendar, hold the slot, and draft a confirmation with the address and lockbox note left blank for me to fill in."
4. Market and comps research with source links
browser_exec drives a real browser: it navigates, reads, clicks, scrapes and takes screenshots. That makes it a research assistant, not an MLS feed.
Prompt: "Find recent public sale listings and price changes for three-bedroom homes within one mile of this address. Put each in a table with the source link and the date you saw it. Mark anything you could not confirm."
Output: a sourced table. Public portals can lag or be wrong. Check every number against your MLS before it reaches a client or a CMA.
5. Daily lead digest
Hermes cron accepts plain language or cron expressions and delivers to the chat it came from, a local file, or a platform target such as Telegram or Slack. More detail is on our Hermes Agent cron job page.
Prompt: "Every weekday at 7:30, list new leads from the last 24 hours, anyone I haven't replied to in two days, and today's showings. Send it to my Telegram."
6. Open-house follow-ups
Prompt: "Tonight at 8, read the sign-in sheet CSV in my Drive. Draft a thank-you to each visitor who gave an email, mention one feature they asked about if I noted it, and list who said they already have an agent so I skip them."
7. Transaction checklists
Put your office's checklist in a skill. Hermes memory keeps short notes per profile, and the Kanban board lets several agent profiles share tasks. A cron job can remind you of each deadline. Your contract dates come from the signed paperwork, entered by a person, never guessed by the agent.
The same draft-then-review pattern shows up in our Hermes Agent for sales guide.
Hermes Agent for real estate guardrails: approvals and fair housing
Hermes approvals have a specific scope. Per the security docs, approval mode is smart by default, and cron jobs deny dangerous commands by default. MCP servers marked untrusted ask before each write. Those controls cover risky commands and tool writes. They are not a send button for messages, so keep a simple rule: the agent drafts, a person sends.
Fair housing comes first. The agent must not screen, rank or steer anyone by race, color, religion, sex, disability, familial status, national origin, or any other class protected where you work. Do not ask it to guess a lead's background, and do not let it pick which buyers hear about which areas. Write these rules into the skill and the profile's instructions. A licensed person reviews all listing copy and ads before they go out. This page is not legal advice; ask your broker or counsel.

Who Hermes Agent for real estate fits, and who it doesn't
It fits:
- A solo agent who loses leads because replies go out late.
- A three-agent brokerage could give each agent a Hermes Bot profile with its own memory and skills, and have a lead bot in a group chat route new inquiries.
- A team lead who wants one morning digest across inboxes and calendars.
- Someone comfortable installing software.
It doesn't fit:
- Offices that need a direct MLS, Follow Up Boss or DocuSign integration out of the box. None is in the catalog.
- Anyone who wants messages sent with no human check.
- Teams with no one to own setup, updates and security settings.

Hermes Agent for real estate FAQ
Can Hermes Agent connect to my MLS?
Not through a catalog entry. At v0.23.0 there is no MLS, Zillow or Realtor.com entry. You can give it exports or use the browser tool where the site's rules allow it, and you verify the data.
Will Hermes send emails to my leads by itself?
Set it up so it doesn't. Have it save drafts and notify you. The Gmail community plugin also shows a preview and asks you to confirm before sending.
Is it safe to use for listing copy?
Use it for first drafts only. Tell it to describe the property, not people, and have a licensed person review every listing for fair housing and accuracy.
What do I need to run it?
A computer or server for the Hermes gateway, a model provider, and accounts for the tools you connect.
